The Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine through its Employee Health Service, provides a comprehensive Occupational Health Program for staff and researchers involved working with animals.

This program includes annual check-ups including updating of immunizations, review of employees' need for Tuberculosis Screening test (PPD through a Mantoux technique), and serum banking as appropriated.

The object of this voluntary program is to protect you and your research assistants from the potential hazards of working with animals.  Please review the attached description of the program for the recommendations tailored to the specific exposures that might pertain to you and your immediate staff.
